January is Soup Month- How are you celebrating?

Baby, it's cold outside! Of course January was the obvious choice for National Soup Month- not only does it warm the soul on a cold day, it is a great use for all of those holiday leftovers you have in the freezer.

Foodservice professionals can take advantage of this holiday by offering soup specials to their customers, or introducing new soups to the menu.

Need some inspiration for your kitchen? According to Urban Spoon, Nobb Hill's St. Honore' Boulangerie serves up the best soup in town. Seattle's foodies like Nana's Soup House on 36th. Pacific Food Distributors also carries the Soup Supreme line from Norpac should you desire to carry a quality, pre-made soup.

As for new recipe choices, Simply Recipes has a season-appropriate Crab Bisque recipe that is amazing. My favorite, however, is Fine Dining's Leek and Spinach Soup. Not only does it look elegant when served in a plain white bowl, the combination of flavors are delicious!
